Cookies and measurement

This notice describes what wpdoki.com stores in your browser and what we measure. In short: no advertising or profiling cookies, and no third-party tracker.

What is stored in your browser

  • Your choice about measurement — a single entry (wpdoki.consent) so we do not ask on every page. It records whether you allowed measurement and when you decided. It stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.

  • A sign-in cookie — only in the admin area, for the provider's own staff. As a visitor you never receive one.

Nothing else. No advertising cookie, no social embed, no Google Analytics or equivalent.

What we measure

Traffic is measured on our own server, without cookies. For one page view we keep:

  • the page address and its language,

  • the country if it can be determined, the referring site's domain, and whether you came from a phone, a tablet or a computer,

  • how long the page was open, how far you scrolled, and which sections you saw,

  • an identifier that cannot be reversed and changes every day, so visitors can be told apart within a single day.

What we do not keep: no IP address, no browser fingerprint, no name, no e-mail address, nothing that can be traced back to you. The key used to build the identifier changes at midnight, so yesterday's data cannot be joined to today's.

How the country is determined

If the network in front of our server reports the country, we use that. If not, the address is looked up with an external provider — a server-to-server call only — and the answer is stored beside that same irreversible identifier. The address itself appears nowhere else and is never stored. This lookup can be switched off, in which case the country stays “unknown”.

If you would rather not

Measurement can be turned off in the banner or through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Once off, your browser does not send the measurement request at all. The site works exactly the same either way.

How long it is kept

Measurement data is kept for at most 400 days and is then deleted automatically.
